 Direct Cut, de interactieve installatie met twee videoprojecties en 99 interactieve tapijten is gebaseerd op hedendaagse cinema en sociale psychologie. Het is een verhaal over twee personen die in een moeilijke en complexe relatie met elkaar verwikkeld zijn. Zij is een mysterieus persoon die kan gesitueerd worden in de films van David Lynch. Ze mompelt onduidelijk, roept en huilt. Ze communiceert voornamelijk via lichaamstaal. Hij, geïnspireerd op personages uit het oeuvre van Jean-Luc Godard, is een eerder extravert figuur die in al zijn acties aandacht en betrokkenheid van de toeschouwer vraagt. Hij praat voortdurend, citeert verscheidene auteurs, haat de conformistische maatschappij en roept op hiertegen te ageren. Afhankelijk van de veranderingen in het script wordt hij de 'winner' of de 'loser'. De afstand tussen de toeschouwers en de personages, het aantal toeschouwers en de snelheid waarmee ze zich door de ruimte bewegen, beïnvloeden de verhaallijn en de gedragingen van de acteurs. Wanneer de bezoekers op grotere afstand of afwezig zijn, reageren de personages met elkaar op willekeurige tijdstippen.

Direct Cut, an interactive installation with two video projections and 99 interactive carpets, is based on contemporary cinema and social psychology. It is a story about two persons involved in a difficult and complex relationship. She is a mysterious person that can be situated in a David Lynch film. She mumbles, shouts and cries. She communicates mainly through body language. He, inspired on characters from the oeuvre of Jean-Luc Godard, has an extravert personality, demanding attention and commitment from the audience. He talks all the time, cites different authors, hates the conformist society and calls for action. Depending on changes in the script, he becomes the 'winner' or the 'loser'. The distance between the spectator and the characters, the number of viewers and the way they move through the space, influence the story line and the behavior of the actors. When the visitors are far away or absent, the characters react on each other with random intervals.
