Annual 2006 geeft een terugblik op de artistieke gebeurtenissen van het voorbije kalenderjaar. Inhoudelijke vragen over de tentoonstellingen, concerten en performances worden geduid met tekst, beeld en geluid: het boek wordt vergezeld van een CD met live-fragmenten, onuitgegeven tracks en soundscapes van geluidskunstenaars.
Met bijdragen van Lars Kwakkenbos, Ive Stevenheydens, Denis Gielen, Virginie Devillez, Philippe Franck, Jean-Louis Poitevin. |

Van Berlin-am-Spree naar Berlin-am-Dender: muzikanten van de labels ~scape, Kitty-Yo en Monika Enterprise spinnen een avond vol elektronica van Berlijnse origine uit.
Tijdens Documenta X richtten het duo Lillevan en Marc Weiser Rechenzentrum (Kitty-Yo) op. Hun muziek komt vaak in de buurt van minimale techno, met accenten die naar dub, avant-garde, ambient en digitale hiphop verwijzen. |

Pole meets Mapstation (~scape) is een recent live-project van Stefan Betke en Stefan Schneider.Betke (aka Pole) staat bekend voor zijn minimale dubmuziek. Zijn meest recente album Steingarten krijgt een geheel eigen geluid door het gebruik van diepe bassen en een krachtige, soepele productiestijl. Schneider (aka Mapstation) is vooral gekend van To-Rococo-Rot. Zijn meest recente soloplaat Distance told me things to be said is typisch ~scape: een herkenbaar, warm geluid van dub met een exotische, jazzy touch. |

Gudrun Gut speelde mee met Einstürzende Neubauten, Matador en Malaria!. Vandaag is ze de bezielster van het uitstekende label Monika Enterprise (dat groepen verdeelt als Barbara Morgenstern, Milenasong, Laurenz Pike ...). Op haar laatste plaat I put a record on wordt haar evocatieve, doorleefde stem met minimale techno en instrumentale experimenten in de verf gezet. |

Milenasong (Monika Enterprise), het project van Sabrina Milena, brengt muziek die abstracte beelden evoceert. Haar intimistische, ingetogen nummers worden met ambientcollages en onderwaterstemmen tot schilderachtige composities opgebouwd. |

Annual 2006 presents a survey of its artistic program of the past year. Exhibitions, concerts and performances are interpreted with text, image and sound. The book will include a CD with live-fragments, unpublished tracks and soundscapes.
With contributions by Lars Kwakkenbos, Ive Stevenheydens, Denis Gielen, Virginie Devillez, Philippe Franck, Jean-Louis Poitevin.
