Fin de Saison

Netwerk starts the beginning of the summer partying: the Fin de Saison promises to be a magnificent outdoors event with concerts, performances and DJs.

Stevie Wishart starts the event with an unique concert in front of her installation The Sound of Gesture.

In a short but ear disturbing performance Joris Van de Moortel breaks the boundaries between music and visual art: as Girard Kanard and co. he has his own take on a drums-guitar duo, in which the installations Hit the snare don't you dare and Once a hit makes it split play the main roles.

Staalplaat Soundsystem will interpret as Yokomono a concert/DJset in their own unique way: 10 toy cars and radios are modified in such a way they can function as turntables.

At sunset Sean Dower will perform the explosive-percussive spectacle Thunder on the Dender, in collaboration with percussionist Richard Wilson and visual artist Steve Noble: an explosion of percussion and fireworks at the banks of the Dender.

Continuous there will be an outdoors party with the resident DJs.

As if that's not enough: the exhibition Musik für Barbaren und Klassiker and the travelling exhibition Matchbox by Kunstwerk(t) will be open all night. At 19:00 there is a small guided tour in the exhibition.
